Chehel-Dokhtar Historic Monument Repaired

KASHAN Chehel-Dokhtar historic monument in the region of Soltan Mir-Ahmad in Kashan was repaired last week, it was announced here Wednesday. Head of the Cultural Heritage Department of Kashan Seifollah Aminian told IRNA that the tomb of Chehel-Dokhtar (40 girls) had been built in 12th century A.D. The tomb which is said to be a burial site for 40 girls were killed during sectarian clashes in the region at that time has genuine Islamic architecture.

Some Rls 60 million has been spent on the restoration of the building. (IRNA)
